Printed Periodicals Collection of Library, Eastern University, Sri Lanka

The Periodicals Section of the Library houses a rich collection of local and foreign periodicals acquired through subscriptions and donations. The collection includes Journals, Conference Proceedings, Magazines, Annual Reports, Gazettes, Acts, Newsletters, and Newspapers.

These publications are available in Sinhala, Tamil, and English. Local newspapers in all three languages are also available for reading in the Periodicals Section. Publications of Eastern University, Sri Lanka are preserved as a special EUSL Collection. In addition, publications from other universities and various institutions are also available.

The bound volumes of periodicals are among the valuable collections maintained by the Library. The section also provides information services such as Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) via email, Current Awareness Services, including Current Contents and email alerts, for the benefit of library users.
