Mission of the Library

Curating, disseminating reliable information for all stakeholders via supporting teaching, learning and research activities while being a catalyst for lifelong learning and preserving indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage.

Objectives of the Library

The following are the objectives of the Library Network:

• Enhance depth and breadth of the collection, in various formats and means, by continuous evaluation and development of the library’s information resources.
• Create an atmosphere that promotes study and research activities by maintaining and improving the physical environment and use of the library.
• Improve access to both print and electronic collections and promote library services to students and staff.
• Develop an automated system using suitable computer hardware and software to enhance the effectiveness of library services and functions.
• Establish an electronic repository to widen access to the library’s resources.
• Develop human resources according to national and international standards to provide excellence in information services.
